Spas and wellness in the Oise: a break to enjoy as a couple

Sauna, hammam, jacuzzi and treatments for two: the Clos des Vignes wellness ritual, to slow down time together in the tranquillity of the French Vexin.

Well-being: a reason to visit

There are holidays we plan to explore, and others we book simply to unwind. Le Clos des Vignes, nestled in the heart of the French Vexin, less than 45 minutes from Paris, was designed with the latter in mind. Here, there’s no schedule to keep to. Just the sound of the wind in the 12-hectare grounds, the soothing atmosphere of the spa awaiting you, and the rare feeling that, for once, time no longer matters.

Every year, more and more couples make the journey from the capital to treat themselves to a wellness break in the Oise. It’s hardly surprising: when you’re looking for a spa near Paris without leaving the French countryside, the Vexin stands out from the rest. An unspoilt region, unobstructed views, and at the end of a tree-lined avenue, a five-star hotel where you can come and reconnect.

The ritual: sauna, steam room, jacuzzi

The spa Le Clos des Vignes was designed as a transitional space — between the hustle and bustle of everyday life and something slower, more intimate. You enter as a couple, and go about things at your own pace.

The route naturally begins with the dry heat of the sauna, ideal for releasing the muscle tension that has built up after a week’s work. Your breathing deepens, your shoulders drop. Then comes the hammam : a humid, enveloping warmth, perfect for shared silence. The skin opens up, the mind clears.

The jacuzzi brings the water ritual to a close. Sitting side by side in the warm water, we watch time pass without trying to stop it. It’s simple, and that’s exactly why it works.

Here are a few tips to help you make the most of this route:

  • Stay hydrated regularly : Switching between hot areas can cause dehydration; make sure you have a bottle of water to hand and take breaks at room temperature between each stage.
  • Choosing the right time slot : on weekdays or early in the morning at the weekend, the spa is quieter and the experience feels more intimate.
  • Book your treatment in advance : Slots for two-person sessions book up quickly, especially at weekends in spring and autumn.

Treatments for two

A wellness ritual wouldn’t be complete without a moment of pampering. At Le Clos des Vignes, the couples’ treatments allow you to share the experience together, in the same space, at the same time. There is no better way to synchronise two rhythms than to let yourselves be guided simultaneously by the expert hands of two practitioners.

Relaxing massages, facials or body wraps: each treatment is designed to release tension and deeply nourish the skin. You don’t leave the treatment feeling the same as when you arrived — you can really feel the difference in the way your shoulders have relaxed, in the lightness of your legs, and in that slightly dreamy smile you share as you get dressed.

"You don’t realise just how much you needed it until you set foot in the spa. After the treatment, we looked at each other and said: ‘Why didn’t we do this sooner?’"

Extend your stay in a suite with a private jacuzzi

Some couples choose not to stop at the spa. They extend the experience in one of our suites with a jacuzzi — spaces designed for two, where privacy is the norm and comfort is a way of life.

Just imagine: after your treatment, you return to your suite. The lighting is subdued, and your private jacuzzi is waiting for you. No corridors, no crowds — just your own private space, where you can continue to unwind at your own pace.

Our themed suites are designed to prolong your escape: each room evokes a different atmosphere, yet all share the same attention to detail, the same high-quality bedding, and the same care taken with silence and light. These are spaces where you’ll want to stay, even once you’ve had a good rest.

Eating light and well

A wellness weekend isn’t just about treatments. What you put on your plate is part of the experience. At the restaurant At Le Clos des Vignes, chef Cyril Ramon creates gourmet cuisine rooted in the seasons and the local region. The ingredients are fresh, the combinations are carefully crafted, and the portions are just right.

Some prefer a dinner for two, taking the time to rediscover the pleasure of eating at a leisurely pace. Others opt for a leisurely breakfast, overlooking the park, in the morning light. In either case, the dining experience complements the wellness experience rather than detracting from it.

Treat someone to some relaxation

A spa break in the Oise is also one of the most thoughtful gifts you can give. To a loved one going through a difficult time, to your partner for a special occasion, or simply because you know they need it — for no particular reason.

Our gift sets allow you to offer this experience in a flexible way: spa access, a treatment for two, or a complete stay including an overnight stay and dinner. All presented with care, ready to be slipped into an envelope or handed over in person.

For those who wish to put together their own package, our offers combine accommodation, a spa and fine dining in packages designed for weekends.

Sometimes it takes very little for things to change: a few hours of warmth, an hour spent in caring hands, a quiet moment shared in a hot tub. The spa at Le Clos des Vignes isn’t an unattainable luxury — it’s a breath of fresh air. The kind we always put off, and which we should treat ourselves to far more often.

The Vexin is only 45 minutes away. And this little break can begin as early as this weekend.
